Tariq Lamptey, Abdul Salis Samed, Joseph Paintsil, and Kamaldeen Sulemana return to the squad after spells away from the national team.

After thrilling performances at the Unity Cup in London, Caleb Yirenkyi and Christopher Bonsu Baah retain their place in the squad. For Yirenkyi, this is his first competitive call-up and has been listed as a defender, with the 19-year-old expected to feature at right back.

Players like Majeed Ashimeru, Razak Simpson, Ebenezer Annan, Lawrence Agyekum, Brandon Thomas Asante, and Kingsley Schindler, who have been regulars in the national team this year, drop out.

This squad announcement comes with high anticipation as the Black Stars of Ghana seek to make a strong comeback on the international stage. With the likes of Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, and Inaki Williams, Ghana will be banking on its European-based stars, while young talents like Christipher Bonsu Baah and Jerry Afriyie bring fresh energy to the team.

Fans across Ghana and beyond will be eager to see how the team performs under Otto Addo, as qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico remains a top national priority.

Ghana currently sits at the top of Group I with 15 points in six matches, having won five and lost just once.
